SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- More than 2,200 South Bend residents were without power Saturday night after a tree fell onto a power line and started a fire.

It happened in the 4000 block of South Ironwood Drive.

Firefighters were on the scene to get the situation under control.

An Indiana Michigan Power spokesperson tells me crews were able to remove the tree from the power line and restore power to residents around 9:20 p.m.
