If you have been frustrated with potholes so far this season, Michigan officials are warning that it may get worse.

Michigan's top transportation official told lawmakers today that the brutal winter, combined with already deteriorating roads, will spell trouble for motorists and road budgets.

Department of Transportation Director Kirk Steudle says Michigan set aside $88 million dollars for plowing, but the cost may total $117 million.

Due to the financial strain, he expects future potholes to be the worst many drivers have experienced.
