Thieves are stealing items from unlocked cars and garages in Marshall County, and police are asking residents to be extra cautious.
According to our reporting partners at ”WKVI”, the robberies are happening in center and west townships.
Items ranging from loose change to electronics and paperwork have been reported missing. One thief went as far as using that paperwork to try and commit identity theft.
Police say they believe the thieves are on foot, looking for open homes and cars. A majority of the crimes have been reported on 12th Road, State Road 17 and Lincoln Highway.
