It's been twenty years since a body was found in New Buffalo.
Police are now releasing a newly created photo that might lead to information concerning her identity.
Back in 1992 a person was walking near Red Arrow Highway in New Buffalo Township saw what looked like a body wrapped in a garbage bag.
A coroner later determined a woman possibly in her late 60's died of natural causes.
Someone had wrapped her body in a sheet, towel and garbage bag plus cut off her hands and removed her dentures before dumping her on the road.
Twenty years later her identity has not been made but a picture using her skull has been reconstructed.
Michigan State Police Trooper Jeffery Oudman believes, “because of the circumstances involved somebody wanted to hide her identity to continue receiving social security benefits or some kind of financial benefits.”
State Police did take DNA samples from her clothes but so far there haven't been any matches to family members.
