One woman hospitalized after argument leads to stabbing

A woman is in the hospital Thursday after an argument became violent.

South Bend police responded just after 2:00 p.m. to a home at 110 E. Fox Street.

That's near the 2200 block of S. Michigan Street.

According to police, two women had been arguing when one of them stabbed the other.

The injured woman was taken to a hospital. The severity of her injuries is unknown.

The assailant, a 43-year-old South Bend woman, is in custody, but police have not yet found the weapon used in the stabbing.

St. Joseph County Metro Homicide was not asked to assist in the investigation.
