Plymouth, Ind. A Plymouth woman, who spent four and a half years submitting false bills to Medicaid, will spend the next nine years in prison.
Kori Ann Donovan was sentenced Monday. Donovan ran an ambulance service called Advanced Care Transport that routinely inflated the distance of ambulance runs, in order to overcharge the government.
Court documents show Advanced Care Transport sent Medicaid more than 37,000 inflated bills, illegally netting some $3.8 million. Donovan was also ordered to pay restitution.
