What could have been a deadly and tragic situation came to a peaceful end Thursday.

According to our reporting partners at the Plymouth Pilot News, Thursday evening Plymouth’s Police and Fire Department were dispatched to a home on 11B Road outside of the city limits.

Apparently a man inside the home was threatening to kill himself. He had covered himself with gasoline and barricaded himself in his driveway with lawn mowers.

Eventually, police were able to coax him away from the flammable materials and he is now seeking treatment at a psychiatric evaluation center.
