Big changes have been made at the Plymouth Speedway in the off-season.
WKVI reports that the racetrack has been changed from asphalt to dirt. Owners say the asphalt track just wasn't attracting enough cars or fans.
They experimented last year with putting a dirt track on the in-field. 3-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart even came out for a race.
It proved to be a huge success, so they laid clay and dirt on top of the asphalt for this year's Saturday night races. Tony Stewart will return for another race this August.
Plus, they've still got the smaller dirt track on the in-field.
