Plymouth Police arrest man accused of battering victims during burglary

On August 6 at 4:25 a.m., the Plymouth Police Department received a report in reference to a break-in that had just occurred at a residence in the 700 block of W. Jefferson St. in Plymouth.

During this break-in a male and female had been battered. A suspect was identified as Jason Miller of Knox, but he had left the area and was not located at that time.

On the morning of August 7, the Plymouth Police Department received information indicating that Jason Miller was in the Bass Lake Cemetery.

A detective approached the cemetery and identified Miller as a passenger in a pickup truck. While he was attempting to arrest Miller, the driver drove off and the detective pursued the truck for several miles until it approached the community of Ora in Pulaski County.

On the afternoon of August 7, Plymouth Police received information indicating that Jason Miller was at a residence in the 19000 block of S.R. 10 near Culver.

Miller was located with assistance from the Culver Police Department and the Marshall County Sheriff's Department and was then transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked for Burglary Resulting in Bodily Injury.

Later that afternoon the driver of the truck, Lance A. Walter, was located on Nutmeg Road in Plymouth. He was then transported to the Starke County Jail and booked for Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle.
