Plant sale benefits Unity Gardens

South Bend - It's the perfect sale for those with green thumbs.

Unity Gardens is holding its annual plant sale this weekend. The sale began on Friday and runs until Saturday afternoon.

It's held at Junk Evolution in South Bend from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The sale features Heirloom Tomato plants grown at Clay High School, as well as other vegetables and flowers.

All process from this fundraiser support Unity Gardens.

"Unity Gardens is all about access to healthy food for everyone. And more importantly access to each other," said Sara Stewart, the executive director for Unity Gardens.
