The two 30-foot missiles have found their home. The two Talos cold war missiles made it to the Military Honor Park in South Bend Tuesday. On Wednesday they assembled them, putting on the panels and fins.
Now they're mounted and for anyone to see.
It's something that has taken a long time, and a lot of work to bring two missiles, that were built in Mishawaka, back to the area.
"We're very very proud to have them up,” George Murat the Director of Military Honor Park. “Yes it did go quite well. No accidents, no scratches. I think everyone here was on pins and needles and they're all thrilled that it's up.”
They plan to have an official dedication in the coming months.
