Penn tops Riley for first boys hoops sectional title since 2007

The drought for Penn's boys basketball is finally over.

Billy Doslak scored 15 points and Jordan Geist added 14 as Penn defeated Riley 70-45 Monday night in capture the 4A Sectional Championship at Washington.

It's the first sectional title since 2007 for Penn, which now moves on to the 4A Regionals at Michigan City on Saturday. Penn will face Concord in the 1pm EST semifinal. The winner faces either LaPorte or Lake Central in the regional final Saturday night.

Penn led 14-11 after one quarter before pushing the lead to 11 at the half. They never looked back from there.

The Kingsmen are now 22-1 on the season.
