Gov. Mike Pence says former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was "a dynamic leader who devoted her career to advancing economic freedom and individual liberty."
Pence has issued a statement saying Thatcher "inspired a generation to confront economic malaise and threats to freedom everywhere. Her passion and vision helped reshape the course of history and helped end the Cold War."
The 87-year-old Thatcher died from a stroke Monday in London.
Senator Dan Coats says Thatcher "was a woman of courage and conviction and her legacy should serve as an inspiration to all elected officials."
U.S. Rep. Marlin Stutzman says Thatcher "stood with President Reagan in staring down communism and made our world more free and prosperous."
