A pedestrian was hit by a train in Osceola overnight

It happened near the intersection of Beech Road and LincolnWay West, right around midnight.

The Norfolk Southern train was traveling east from Chicago, on its way to Harrisburg Pennsylvania.

Authorities have not yet released the condition of the person hit.

The cargo train had only 2 crew on board, and neither of them were hurt

A Norfolk Southern spokesperson says that the speed limit around that area is 60 miles per hour, and that the crew blew the whistle as they approached the intersection.
