South Bend can party for a cause this weekend as a once vacant lot on the St. Joseph River, is transformed into a tropical beach paradise.

It's the 6th year for the 100% volunteer-run On The River Fest. And all of the proceeds go to benefit the Center for the Homeless.

Activities kick off Friday evening with Teen Night and a Battle of the Bands Competition from 5-11 p.m. On Saturday, people of all ages can enjoy Family Day from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and those 21 and over can take part in the main event that night from 3-11 p.m. for the Beach Bash.

For more information on ticket prices or event details, visit On The River website.
