Commuters driving along Lincolnway East may have to find a new route over the next few months as crews replace a bridge over Baugo Creek.
According to the Elkhart Truth, INDOT announced Lincolnway will be closed west of County Line Road starting Monday, April 8.
As crews start replacing the bridge, drivers will be sent on a detoured route. All traffic going east on Lincolnway will be sent north onto Capital Ave., then onto McKinley Hwy., and County Line Rd. before returning back to Lincolnway.
Westbound traffic will be rerouted along the same path going in the opposite direction.
Construction on the new bridge is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
