Parent speaks out at school board meeting about bullying

MISHAWAKA, Ind. - At the Mishawaka school board meeting Tuesday night, one parent says she spoke out as a last resort to protect her daughter from a bully.

Rebecca Mays says her third grade daughter is being bullied by a group of sixth graders at LaSalle Elementary.

She says she has reached out to everyone from the teacher to the school board to help her daughter.

Finally, tonight she addressed the school board.

She showed them pictures of scratches her daughter suffered during a fight at school.

After Mays spoke, the superintendent assured her the issued was being investigated.

She also had a chance to speak with the school's resource officer.
