Paramedic suspected in case of missing ambulance medications

A paramedic from the South Bend Fire Department is in custody as the sole suspect in the case of missing narcotics.

After a self-initiated investigation, officials of the SBFD narrowed down the inconsistencies concerning the Fentanyl to one crew member of the department’s ambulance corps, Lt. Timothy Greenlee.

Detectives questioned the 38-year-old paramedic this weekend and charged him with felony charges of Official Misconduct and Theft at the St. Joseph County Jail.

On Saturday, the South Bend Fire Dept. (SBFD) reached out to police for help concerning missing drugs from the fire department. The missing medication, Fentanyl, is usually a drug used on SBFD ambulances to help treat patients.

The SBFD will hold a press conference at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 15, at the department’s headquarters located on Michigan Street.
