Pair arrested in Cass Co. on 10 counts of drug and firearm charges

Drug enforcement officers arrested two people in Cass County after finding illegal drugs and firearms in a home on Thursday.

After searching a house on the 13-thousand block of Carter Lake St. in Porter Township on Thursday night, detectives found a slew of drugs and other illegal items including methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription drugs, parts of a meth lab and firearms.

Police took Blayne Wolf, 47, and Barbara Balentine, 52, into custody when the search was complete and charged.

The pair was arraigned on Friday and are currently being held on $60,000 bond each for 10 counts of narcotics and firearms related charges.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing and ask that anyone with information regarding the case contact the Cass County tip line at 1-800-462-9328.
