Owner of Hoosier EMS pleads guilty to Medicare fraud

A Winimac man has pleaded guilty to using his private emergency medical business to commit Medicare fraud.

Roy Dunn, 60, owns Hoosier EMS, a company based in Buffalo.

Court documents filed last November say Dunn was part of a plot to submit Medicare claims for services that were never rendered.

Dunn is charged with defrauding Medicare out of more than $2 million.

Three Hoosier EMS employees, were also charged in the conspiracy.

Dunn's sentencing is set for May 20.
