Osolo Township fire chief to be laid to rest

OSOLO TOWNSHIP A man who dedicated his life to saving lives has passed away.

Jerry Miller became a firefighter in 1970 at age 18. As chief of the Osolo Township Fire Department, he dedicated his time to improving their ability to save lives and honoring fellow fire fighters.

The Elkhart Truth reports Miller died Friday from cancer. Assistant Chief Dean Rentfrom will replace Miller as Osolo Township fire chief.

Funeral services for Miller will be held Thursday.
