Critics are questioning a plan to privatize the Hoosier Lottery.

They say the company may profit from those least able to afford to play.

G-Tech won the deal to manage the key state lottery operations in October. The company said it could dramatically increase lottery revenue.

But opponents say it is common knowledge that lotteries exploit low-income people.

They point out some stores, like Dollar General and Wal-Mart are not likely to locate in affluent neighborhoods.
