One person is dead after an accident happened in LaGrange County involving an Amish buggy.
Shortly after noon on Monday a semi tractor driving east on State Road 120 just west of County Road 675, in LaGranage County, was passing an Amish buggy, when the buggy turned into the semi and collided with the back portion of the semi trailer.
The four passengers in the buggy were ejected from the buggy from the impact. The driver and one of the passengers were airlifted to Parkview Main in Fort Wayne for treatment of minor injuries. A third passenger was transported to Parkview Lagrange for treatment of minor injuries. The fourth passenger was pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining serious injuries to the head.
LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating and does not know why the buggy turned into the semi tractor.
