Plymouth, Ind. It seems a sleepy driver was responsible for a crash involving four semis Monday afternoon.
It happened just before 2:30 in the westbound lanes of U.S. 30, just east of U.S. 31. Officers say 36-year-old Skender Emini fell asleep at the wheel, and woke up just before crashing into another semi stopped at the intersection.
That caused a chain reaction, involving two additional semis in the accident. 55-year-old Jeffrey Wildermuth was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
A tank of argon gas spilled from one of the trucks, but firefighters say it was not a hazard to the public.
