Cass County, Mich. An unlicensed teenage driver, who didn't follow the rules of the road, may be to blame for a three-car wreck in Cass County that left one man dead.
It happened around 1:45 Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Pokagon Highway and Daily Road in LaGrange Township.
Police say 15-year-old Sonia Sahavedra of Eau Claire was headed north on Daily Road, when she failed to yield at a stop sign.
She drove right through the intersection instead slamming into an eastbound vehicle driven by 40-year-old Adam Koppy of Jones, Michigan.
The impact of that crash sent Koppy's car into oncoming traffic, where he was then hit by yet another car. Koppy was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the third vehicle involved, 50-year-old Brenda Smith of Bridgman, was also treated for injuries.
Neither Sahavedra nor the teenage passenger in her car was hurt.
