"Old to Gold" sale set to be bigger than ever this year

It may be old stuff to some but others could find gold!

Saturday morning marks the 9th annual "Old to Gold" sale at Notre Dame's Stadium.

Organizers say people will start lining up around 4:30 in the morning.

25-hundred people are expected to rush the stadium looking for deals. Thousands of items that students have donated will be on sale for a dollar to around 20.

Everything from futons to flat screens will be up for grabs.

The proceeds go to 37 charities volunteering with the sale this year.

Organizer Martin Ogren from Notre Dame says, “We had a group that really went around and visited the dorms and really drummed up support for the project. We've done that every year but a really big effort was made this year, so we've got a ton more furniture.”

If you'd like to go you'll want to be there early.

Gates open at 7 a.m. and close at 10. Tickets are 5 dollars.

Most of the merchandise is gone by 9 a.m.
