How far would you go if you lost a bet? Well, a couple of football fans had a fun and sort of embarrassing day after they came out on the losing end of a bet during last year's match-up between the Irish and the Sooners.
More than 50 people came out to enjoy a little bit of tailgating with friends and family before the Oklahoma and Notre Dame game Saturday.
“This has been planned for a year ever since I won the bet,” says Notre Dame fan David Dunlap.
This was a bet that was made at last year's match-up between the Irish and the Sooners.
“My cousin and friends, they actually were feeling pretty confident about their chances of beating Notre Dame and they offered up a bet, and the bet was that they could dress me up whatever way they wanted this year, this game if OU won, but if Notre Dame won, which they did, they all had to come out in wresting singlet’s,” says Dunlap.
”There was no chance we would lose,” says Oklahoma fan Eric Thompson.
“This is a confidence bet right here,” says another Oklahoma fan Lealon Taylor.
Guess who won the bet, spending a whole hour in a wrestling singlet.
“We do have one friend that actually made the bet on our behalf and he is not here,” adds Taylor.
“And if you could hunt him down in Denver, Colorado,” says Thompson.
“They came out in all of their glory and since then it has been photo opportunities for anybody and everybody who comes by,” laughs Dunlap.
“We are expecting a victory today but nobody is willing to have the singlet bet again,” says Thompson.
A bet that should have made since the Sooners beat the Irish Saturday.
