Numbers released for pay cuts in Benton Harbor

New info has been released Friday on the pay cuts Benton Harbor Police and Municipal workers have taken as the city copes with financial problems.

According to reporting partners at the Herald Palladium, Emergency Financial Manager Tony Saunders released the details Friday.

Benton Harbor Police are taking an 8 percent pay cut. They also volunteered to give up their holiday pay. The city will pay 70 percent of officers' annual health care premiums.

Union Municipal workers will split health care contribution with the city 50-50. The Municipal workers are taking a 10 percent pay cut, but will return to a five-day work week.
