It's a huge weekend for NFL prospects, including Notre Dame and Penn High School graduate Braxston Cave.
Cave is in Indianapolis interviewing with teams at the NFL Combine. He will do his full slate of workouts on Saturday. How Cave performs in all aspects over the weekend will go a long way in determining where he is drafted come April.
Cave always dreamed of playing for Notre Dame--he was after all--named after a Irish football play. But did he ever think it was possible to play in the NFL?
"In high school, being highly recruited that was always the goal," Cave told reporters at the Combine. "But you have to put in all the work. I put my work in the last 4-5 years. It's all on film. I hope to come here and show my athletic ability."
Cave is currently projected as a being selected in the 5th round and is considered one of the top five centers available on draft day.
"I like to think of myself as one of the best centers in the country, but we'll leave that up to teams to decide," Cave explained.
Cave has been training in California with four other lineman. He says its like having a full offensive line to work out with every day--to push each other to the next level.
