Nearly 3,500 miles later, a Notre Dame Dean has returned home from a bike ride of a lifetime.
This year marks Greg Crawford's fourth cross-country experience. Dean Crawford rode from Los Angeles to Baltimore.
It was all to help find a cure for a Niemann-Pick disease, a disorder that took the lives of three of Notre Dame Football coaching great, Ara Parseghian's grandchildren.
“There are days where it's not easy, and days where it's exhilarating but in the end, when you look at the kids and everyone signing the van for support,” says Gregory Crawford the Dean of the College of Science. “It really makes you feel super no matter how you might feel on that particular day."
Crawford has raised over $500,000, which will be used on eight adolescent patients during clinical research.
