There will not be a final vote tonight on a proposed South Bend ordinance that targets chronic problem properties.
The measure will be held for further review, and rescheduled for the South Bend City Council's April 8 meeting.
Last year, police were called to the Courtyard Place Apartments more than 500 times and some feel that's way too many.
The proposed measure would allow a property five calls to police or code enforcement in a 60-day period.
After five calls, the city could start charging $250 for additional calls that do not involve legitimate emergencies or crimes.
