Benton Harbor It looks like Benton Harbor won't be getting new police vehicles any time soon.

Commissioners were split on the issue during a meeting Tuesday, which means there will be no action until more information is provided.

Commissioner Marcus Muhammad even says that feedback from residents indicates there are other needs they want the council to address.

The purchase of four new police interceptor utility vehicles would have cost about $170,000. The department currently has four cars, according to our reporting partners at the Herald Palladium .
