Kosciusko County officials say it is unlikely the area will get federal aid to help with damage caused by strong winds and tornadoes last month.
The National Weather Service says that three tornadoes tore through the area on Nov. 17, causing severe damage in Warsaw.
Emergency management director Ed Rock has finished assessing the situation, and reported to county commissioners Tuesday morning.
According to the Stacey Page Online, Rock says damages in Kosciuscko County do not meet the criteria for federal declaration.
He says 11 structures were destroyed and 16 had major damages. However, that does not meet the uninsured loss for a declaration.
