Warsaw police are cracking down on illegal drug use by getting criminals off the streets.

Nine people were arrested on Thursday for various drug-related offenses. Among those arrested were Angelique Holmes, 25, of Warsaw and Coty Prater, 26, of Winona Lake. The pair was pulled over just before 5:30 p.m. during a traffic stop at Lucerne Park in the 800 block of North Park Ave.

Police started searching the car once they discovered that Holmes, who was driving, had a suspended license.

They found a white cooler inside containing marijuana, drug paraphernalia and multiple bags of meth.

Holmes is facing charges of possession and driving while suspended.

Prater, her passenger, was arrested for dealing meth and marijuana, among other things.

He is being held at the Kosciusko County Jail on $2,000 bond.
