It is an end of an era. The 93 year-old bridge in downtown Niles is due for a bit of a facelift, and the city wants public input on what upgrades to make.
On Tuesday night, residents of Niles can share their ideas on what the new bridge should look like. Those in attendance can vote on the color, type of railings and lamp style used when designers sketch up the new bridge.
The meeting will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Niles City Council Chambers at the fire station, and will be hosted by the Michigan Dept. of Transportation.
Anyone who is unable to attend Tuesday night’s meeting can stop by City Hall to view the displays and vote on the options.
Officials say the final results will be publicized during February’s city council meeting.
