Frontier Airlines expanded its service from Denver, Colorado with the launch of nonstop service flights to the South Bend.
The first Denver to South Bend flight touched down at South Bend Regional Airport at 11:33 p.m. Thursday, October 11. This morning the first South Bend to Denver flight took off this morning at around 10 a.m. Mike Daigle, executive director of the St. Joseph County Airport Authority says, “Beginning with today’s flight, flying to Denver and connecting beyond just became more affordable and more comfortable for Michiana travelers.” Frontier’s senior vice president says that community demand for the additional service has been strong.
Travelers needing to fly between the two airports will travel on a 138-seat Airbus 319 aircraft. The new nonstop flights will increase access to other cities on the west coast as well, providing an easy connection to an additional 15 destinations including Los Angeles and Seattle.
