ELKHART, Ind. - Residents can look forward to new dining options in downtown Elkhart this summer.

The owner of Café Navarre, Kurt Janowsky, is opening the new eatery, Artisan, in the former flytrap building at 505 S. Main St.

The unique part about it is definitely the menu, or lack thereof.

Some a la carte options will be available, but the real idea is tastings.

The restaurant will serve small portions, multiple courses, featuring high quality ingredients, and specialty products.

Janowsky says "People that are foodies and really like interesting things, they go to Chicago to try interesting new restaurants because they're foodies. They may appreciate what we're doing at artisan."
They hope to open by mid-summer.

Janowsky says this location is perfect, because it was previously a restaurant, so some of that foundational equipment is already there.

In addition, it is close to the Lerner Theater.
