New South Bend ordinance requires mopeds to be registered

South Bend, Ind. South Bend moped drivers must now register their vehicles with the city.

A new ordinance requires mopeds to be inspected annually and registered with police.

The mopeds needed to be registered before today.

The cost is about $20 the first year, and $15 for each renewal.

But if you don't register, you could be fined $50.

You can register by visiting the south bend police department on W. Sample Street.
