Five new Elkhart County Police Officers were sworn in Tuesday in Goshen. Before the oath of office, the sheriff reminded them about the importance of their promise, to be ready to serve the community and protect people's rights.
“When I talked about information overload, they are going to feel that for the next weeks, but we repeat things over and over,” explains Elkhart County Sheriff Brad Rogers. “We get them ingrained in them.”
They will spend the next few weeks in field training learning everything from constitutional rights to suicide prevention.
