Neighbors fight developer's Home Owners Association at Lafayette Falls after ignoring property

A South Bend subdivision is fighting its developer.

After years without results, neighbors at Lafayette Falls want to know what their home owners association is doing with the money from past dues.

For example Lafayette Falls’ waterfall is now just a small pond with a broken pump.

At recent neighbor meetings people have been furious about paying hundreds of dollars in dues without seeing any results.

Some examples of problems include a half built house that hasn't been touched in at least a year, roads that need repairs, and some of the common areas that are overgrown.

Spokesperson for Lafayette Falls says, “After some time you see some things not being taken care of and nothing really changes and then you start hearing about lawsuits and then there were additional fees that were charged.”

Any attempts to contact the Weiss Family failed.

All of their offices are closed and they are now working under another developer called Turning Point.
