ELKHART, Ind. A Nappanee woman with a checkered past will spend the next several years in prison for robbing a convenience store.
Kayla Losee was sentenced to six years for robbing the neighborhood convenience store in Elkhart this past June.
According to our reporting partners at the Elkhart Truth, Losee pleaded guilty for the crime and was set to be sentenced earlier this month, but she never showed up.
During the hearing on Thursday, the 20-year-old apologized to the store owner, who was beaten during the crime.
Three other men were involved in the robbery and also pleaded guilty to their charges.
The group stole roughly $2,000 from the store.
