NAPPANEE On the evening of May 1, a Nappanee police officer observed a vehicle at U.S. 6 and County Road 11 travelling westbound at "an incredibly high rate of speed."
The vehicle was clocked at 109 mph in a 55 mph zone.
The driver, 24-year-old Jared Miller, was stopped and several field sobriety tests were administered.
Miller was found to have a .13% BAC and was arrested for felony OWI.
He is being held in the Elkhart County Jail pending a probable cause hearing.
