We now know the names of those arrested in connection with an officer-involved chase Tuesday afternoon.
It began at Ford and Brookfield around 3:45. That's where a man police were chasing abandoned his car on the sidewalk. Joseph Fuentes, 36, and Jaimie Duron, 37, are currently being held in the St. Joseph County Jail.
Police say it all started as a routine traffic stop. Shots were fired at an officer and the suspect was found inside an abandoned home on Jackson Street.
Prosecutors are expected to file charges Thursday.
