KOSCIUSKO CO., Ind.--- A North Manchester man was sentenced today after being charged for burglary resulting in bodily injury, armed robbery and theft.

According to Stacey Page Online, Austin J. Howard-Smith, 19, was given two years in the Kosciusko County Jail as part of a plea agreement that dropped all charges except the Class C Felony of aiding a robbery.

Austin, along with Maximo Ybarra, 32, of Syracuse and Zachary Howard-Smith, 23, of Syracuse entered a residence last October intending to rob the inhabitants.

Two people were home at the time, one male and one female.

Ybarra, who was armed with a rifle, proceeded to strike the male, causing injury.

Zachary then held down the male while Ybarra carried out two iPhones and a television set.

Austin remained in the vehicle they had borrowed from his mother.

All the items but one cell phone were later recovered from the vehicle.
