Mishawaka, Ind. The man accused of murdering a Mishawaka high school student 26 years ago is due in court Tuesday.

Phillip Geans, 43, was arrested in December, for shooting Theresa Burns to death, back in 1988.

Burns left school early to change clothes and never returned. She was later found in dead in her home from multiple gunshot wounds.

Back in June, Geans' attorney requested that he be psychologically evaluated before standing trial.

The court appointed two doctors to complete those evaluations. Tuesday’s hearing is a status conference, set for 9 a.m.
