Five people were arrested in Elkhart County for completely separate drunk driving incidents.
The first arrest happened Saturday night around 10:50 when 28-year-old Luke Harbison was pulled over during a traffic stop after nearly hitting another officer in an earlier stop in Elkhart.
Police say he failed a field sobriety test and was arrested.
About an hour later, 51-year-old John Laughlin was arrested in Middlebury after he was stopped for speeding and was found to be drunk.
Then Sunday morning three more people were arrested for drunk driving.
Ziem Kale and Rafael Perez were arrested in Elkhart.
Jason Kershner was arrested in Middlebury around 3:30 Sunday morning after being pulled over for speeding.
During the traffic stop, police say Kershner had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. One was for contempt of court for child support and the other was driving with a suspending license and drunk driving.
They also found drugs in his car.
All five are being held in the Elkhart County corrections complex.
