Move It Mondays: Chuck Heaver's challenge to get fit

The U.S. regularly takes the dubious title of most obese nation, with an obesity rate over 30 percent.

The disease affects more aspects of life than some realize, even hurting the bottom line. Combine the medical costs of health problems with the opportunity cost of lower productivity, and you wind up with one third of Americans suffering from more than just poor health.

That’s why 16 Morning News is kicking off a segment called Move It Mondays, focused on health and fitness. It’s spearheaded by meteorologist Chuck Heaver and Nick Christe, a trainer with Images Personal Training . Each week, we’ll discuss healthy eating habits, as well as exercises you can do at home or in the gym.

Chuck accepted the Move It Monday challenge. He’s already down 30 pounds from a starting point of 263. And we want you to get involved too.
