A Three Rivers woman is recovering from a head-on car crash that involved a lack of sleep.
The accident happened around 7:50 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of US 12 and Vera Dr., in Porter Township Michigan.
Cass County deputies say Ginnie Wallace, 40, nodded-off while driving east along US 12, forcing her car off the roadway into a generator and pole.
Porter Township paramedics did transport Wallace to Elkhart General Hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
Wallace's seven and nine-year-old children were also in the car at the time, however both escaped with minor injuries. Both kids were released to family members called to the scene.
According to crash investigators, alcohol was not a factor and all three occupants were wearing their seat belts.
