A woman missing from the La Porte County area was allegedly found last week bound in duct tape in the trunk of her own car.

The 19-year-old woman was covered in mud and had stretched duct tape around her neck.

She told police she could not remember what happened.

The woman's boyfriend told police that he last saw her when she left his home on the evening of May 20.

He said he'd been up all night driving around, looking for her.

Early on the morning of May 21, he received a call from her stating she was in the trunk of her car somewhere in La Porte.

The boyfriend then drove from the area of New Buffalo to La Porte and located the woman and her vehicle in the Pine Lake channel parking lot, inside Soldier's Memorial Park.

The woman did not have any visible injuries. EMS responded to attend her at the scene as a precaution.

The case is still under investigation by the La Porte County Sheriff's Office.
