NILES There is new controversy in the pageant world of southwest Michigan.

This year's Miss Niles pageant winner has been stripped of her title.

WSJM reports that Sasha Zidar, and runner-up Allie Schoenleber both lost their crowns, but no one will say why.

Second runner-up Monica Bielski will now be named Miss Niles 2013. She wrote on Facebook that it was a "bittersweet moment" to earn the crown in such a way.

This news comes just weeks after reports that last year's Mr. Blossomtime, Agape Mpamira, was sent to jail for drunk driving. He faces possible deportation to his native Rwanda.
